McCormick Ranch was initially bought by Fowler and Anne McCormick in the 1940s as a horse breeding farm. Anne’s passion for horses helped establish Scottsdale’s All Arabian Show. In 1967, she contributed a plot for McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. By 1970, the seven-mile ranch was sold to the developer of the McCormick Ranch community, becoming one of the earliest master-planned areas in the Valley.
